The Jim Shortridge Agency Launches Charity Drive to Reduce Homelessness in Central Oklahoma
An Oklahoma City insurance and financial planning agency is organizing a community charity event to help reduce homelessness in the region

Jim Shortridge, owner and chief executive of the Jim Shortridge Agency in Oklahoma City, is issuing information on a charity event begun late last month to help provide disadvantaged families in the region with access to affordable housing.
Donations gathered during this event will be provided to the Homeless Alliance, a local nonprofit that helps fill the gaps in services provided by public agencies with regards to housing. “Finding out that there were an estimated 118 families with children that are homeless in my own community was devastating. We need to come together as a community and help this remarkable organization make a difference,” says Shortridge.
A referral system is in place to provide donations to the Homeless Alliance; for each referral sent into the Shortridge Agency to receive an insurance quote, a donation will be made to the charity. No purchases are required for this donation to be made.
