We are committed to making a difference in our community by donating $10 on your behalf to help reduce the amount of homeless in our community. Homeless Alliance collaborates with service providers, city government, and local businesses in efforts to end long-term homelessness.
Homeless Alliance focuses on a strategic vision to end homelessness through elimination of gaps in services by increasing collaboration among service providers. They also focus on an increased supply of affordable housing and permanent supportive housing. A 2017 Oklahoma City report declared 19% of homeless were chronically homeless, 33% reported mental illness, 40% reported substance abuse, 11% claimed veteran status, 5% reported being victims of domestic violence and 16% are 17 years old or younger. “Finding out that there were an estimated 118 families with children homeless in my own community was devastating. We need to come together as a community and help this remarkable organization make a difference.”
